What We Do

Our goal is to provide you with a professionally tailored slipcover that will not only transform your existing d├ęcor, but it will also offer the flexibility you and your family can enjoy for a long time to come.

All of our slipcovers are made with great attention to detail and workmanship. We serge all seams and only use high quality cotton/poly threads. Depending on your fabric choice, our slips are 100% washable. Note: In order to be able to wash your slipcover after it is made, the fabric must be washed before the slipcover is made.

After the initial consultation to determine what style you would like, the fabric has been purchased and prewashed, we will make an appointment to come to your home and make a muslin pattern on your furniture. This takes about an hour or two depending on the furniture. We will then take the pattern and fabric back to our workroom to construct the slipcover.

Once your slipcover is completed we return to your home for what we call a ‘dress rehearsal’. If there are any adjustments that need to be made we will do them and proceed to fully dress your furniture piece in its new slipcover.

What you do

The first thing you need to do is determine whether or not your furniture is suitable for a slipcover. The ideal candidate is any piece of furniture that is in good condition, with or without loose cushions. Any chair, love seat or sofa with more than one attached cushion on the back or attached cushions on the arms are not suitable for a slipcover.

The next step is to pick the right fabric. Cotton prints and solids in medium weights are the best choice because they offer strength and durability. If a fabric is too heavy or too light weight it will not lay properly on the furniture resulting in a unsatisfactory look.
Linen, Denims and medium weight cotton fabrics work the best for slipcovers.

The next step is to purchase your fabric and schedule an in home pattern making/fitting.

The rest is up to us!

NOTE: We can advise you how to prewash your fabric or you can arrange for us to wash it for a fee.
